Argued in successful support of the Ballona Wetlands fresh water marsh, a part of Playa Vista's drainage plan, as counsel for Friends of Ballona Wetlands (amicus curiae) in Wetlands Action Network v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 222 F.3d 1105 (9th Cir. 2000).

Successfully defended City of Los Angeles against allegation of a "pattern and practice" of violating the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) at the L.A International Airport. City of El Segundo v. Board of Airport Commissioners, L.A. Co. Sup. Ct. Case No. BC 220609, filed November 23, 1999 (plaintiff voluntarily dismissed).

Argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in TRW Inc. v. Andrews, 534 U.S. 19 (2001) (interpreting the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act) and successfully for the appellant in Andrews v. TRW Inc., 225 F.3d 1063 (9th Cir. 2000) (establishing identity theft victims' right to jury trials for breach of privacy by credit reporting agencies).

Was the lead pre-trial and co-lead trial counsel for residential plaintiffs in Alice Cole, et al. v. City of Santa Monica, Los Angeles Co. Sup. Ct. No. SC 055183, judgment entered October 25, 2001 (damages awarded to neighbors of airport for private nuisance caused by corporate jet operations).

Argued successfully as counsel in Park Access Restoration Committee v. City of Laguna Niguel, California Court of Appeal, Fourth App. Dist., Civ. No. G019233, decided May 26, 1998 (affirming writ of mandate nullifying city's permission for the guard-gating of a neighborhood that includes a public park).

Was the lead pre-trial counsel and second chair for plaintiff in Lesley Wenger v. Trans Union Corporation, U. S. Dist. Ct., Central Dist. of Calif., No. CV-95-6445 ER (1996) (judgment entered for the largest compensatory damages in the history theretofore of the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act).
